For several years, we looked for the perfect and house here in Provence where we have been living for 15 years. We wanted a house in which we could welcome guests in an environment that reflected our way of life and our personality. We finally found it in 2010, 3 kilometres north of Aix-en Provence, in the countryside near Puyricard. Our dream has come true. We started our activity at the beginning of the summer of 2011 after several months of renovation aimed at adding a personal touch, modern comfort, charm and refined decoration to our 2 guest-rooms. |
We are a couple in our fifties and we have often stayed in Bed and Breakfasts which has enabled us to benefit from our experiences. With a house in such a tourist area, not very far from the Mediterranean sea with its rocky inlets, its ski runs an hour's drive away, the Luberon, the Alpilles, Martine, who is an artist and a painter only needed to add her personal touch to the decoration of the house, to make our dream of welcoming guests to our home come true.. |
Martine's personal touch can be seen in the 2 bedrooms from the mixture of bright colours, modern furniture and refinement. We have chosen to keep our guest-rooms open all the year round but with 2 rooms, that's to say 4 people at the most, we give priority to human relationships and human contact. |
We like to welcome our guests with a glass of “Côtes de Provence”. Then as we chat over it, we can give our guests the information they need to organize their visits. They all want to visit Aix, of course, its typical streets, its market, its private mansions, its museums and so on. There are so many things to see in Provence... |
During their sightseeing trips, the guests can follow the “Wine road” , visit the blue rocky inlets by boat (leaving from Cassis), the city of Marseilles with its breathtaking view from the Cathedral “Notre Dame la Bonne Mère” . And then there are all those wonderful villages in the Luberon such as Lourmarin, Bonnieux, Gordes, and Roussillon with its ochre sand. |
Our guests frequently tell us: “We'll come back soon but we'll stay longer to see everything here” . How do guests become friends? Simply because they feel at home while far from their own. |
